I'm currently working on some golf cart related projects for clients (energy audits and performance reviews) and a print magazine and found this video about some regular battery maintenance we should all be practicing.

I'm a proponent of solar chargers onboard golf carts, boats or recreational vehicles... basically anything that might leave you stranded off road, and for anything that uses deep cycle batteries. On golf carts, the batteries get drained during the day and then recharged as night. this constant deep cycling puts a lot of strain on the battery. Even small solar panels mounted on the cart roof will buffer the extreme drainage of daytime use, which will provide a longer battery life in the long run. It will also lessen the energy costs of recharging at night.
